Alzheimer’s Family Center is dedicated “to improving the lives of families affected by Alzheimer’s Disease and other memory disorders”.

offers the following programs and services:
In-Home Respite
This service is available to individuals caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease who live in Broward County north of Sunrise Boulevard. An aide trained in caring for persons with Alzheimer’s disease relieves the caregiver for a minimum of 4 hours each week. The fee for this service is a monthly co-payment and is based on a sliding scale according to the family’s ability to pay.
Volunteer Companionship
Trained volunteers visit families who are caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease at home. Visits are scheduled for a few hours each week. This service is available to families living anywhere in Broward County. There is no charge for this service.
Case Management
A case manager can help families find and enroll in community services that may be helpful to them. There is no charge for this service. Donations are gratefully accepted.
In-Home Counseling
This service is available to families caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease who live anywhere in Broward County. A trained, professional counselor meets at home with the caregiver to help reduce stress, anxiety and to deal with issues related to the person’s caregiving responsibilities. There is no charge for this service.
