Family Center, Inc.

The Alzheimer’s Family Center, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, was established in 1986 in response to the expanding needs of families in Broward County caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease. The Center provides a variety of supportive services to caregivers.

Funding for the Center’s programs and services is provided by the State of Florida’s Alzheimer’s Disease Initiative, Broward County, donations from concerned individuals, private foundations, corporate support, and special events.

Many unmet needs continue to exist in the Broward County community for families struggling with the heartbreak of Alzheimer’s disease. It is the hope of the Center’s volunteer Board of Directors and staff that the Center can continue to provide these families with support, education, information, and relief so that the lives of caregivers and those with Alzheimer’s disease are made more bearable.
